Kids Are Out! Now What?

I've heard many different answers to this from couples who have been together for a long time. Usually those answers aren't great. They range from watching Jeopardy or making spaghetti and watching a movie to doing housework. Are you kidding me? The kids are not home! You two are alone! Time to get busy!

This all goes back to my previous post that talked about making time for each other. If you have an empty house or are alone with each other somewhere, it's time for romance and intimacy. Keeping the fires burning is the key to a long and happy relationship.

Women, put on some sexy lingerie and blindfold your man. Use a feather tickler to make him keep guessing where he'll be touched next. Or, men can do the same (minus the lingerie). The possibilities are endless. Being blindfolded and vulnerable can be incredibly stimulating. You don't know what is coming next and that is very exciting and will lead to an explosive ending! :-)

Use your imagination and have fun with each other!

Keeping It Romantic

Relationships always start out fun and exciting but over time can lose some of their spark. There are a million ways to keep your love life titillating, romantic, sweet, happy and amazing! My husband and I have been married for years but do things each day to keep our romance burning. Below are some tips for you to try if you feel like things are getting "boring" :

  • Leave a short love note for your partner every now and then- it will remind them of how much you love them and will re-kindle the flame.
  • Be playful with each other - walk by and give a quick spank - it's a cute gesture that shows you want to play.
  • Make time for just the two of you at least once a week. This means getting a babysitter if you have to and go out for a romantic dinner or a walk on the beach or a club, or anything the two of you enjoy together. It is extremely important that you have time alone on a regular basis. Too many couples get caught up in the monotany of work, kids, housework and neglect the basic foundation - their relationship.
  • Touch. That's right, touch. Be affectionate. Hold hands while you're driving somewhere or walking around. Give spontaneous hugs. Kiss. Hold. Run your fingers through his/her hair. Nothing will keep romance in your relationship as much as free flowing affection.
  • Keep your sex life alive! Be kinky! Be adventurous! Role play! Use toys! Wear sexy lingerie!
